Welcome to HPC!
Welcome to the online presence of Heritage! We are a redeemed community, a church. We are neither a club nor an organization, but rather we are an outpost of the longest-lasting, most cross-cultural and transnational community the world has ever known—the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a community who came to question what our lives were being shaped into by the values and trappings of our culture. Was life really about being very busy at work, over-scheduled with kids activities in the evenings and Saturday, and then crashing in front of the TV on Sunday—only to repeat it again next week? When we finally did get some time together as a family, why did we always end up either fighting or each of us doing our own thing in a different room? We began to realize that at the end of the drama of the American dream was an empty, lonely void because something deep down inside of us was awry. It was not until we experienced a powerful encounter with the Gospel, where we entered into the amazing narrative the Creator is writing, that we found what we were seeking—an anchor for our lives, and a forgiveness that freed us to love others well.
This is the Gospel of Grace, and it is the significance of this Gospel we seek to demonstrate. Perhaps that resonates with you . . . come and participate in the public Worship of the One True God and see if are not fulfilled. Perhaps you are a skeptic and are sick and tired of “people like us telling other people how to live” . . . contact our pastor for coffee, and you can tell him what you really think! Perhaps you just need a friend; come and enjoy the love of Christ’s people. Regardless, we’d love to have you be part of our worshiping community.
